Fox Valley Lutheran baseball falls to NEC-leader Wrightstown

WRIGHTSTOWN – Wrightstown scored six times in the third inning and cruised to a 7-2 win over Fox Valley Lutheran in a North Eastern Conference baseball game Thursday at Wrightstown High School.
Aiden Humphreys struck out nine over six strong innings as the Tigers (13-5, 11-2 NEC) maintain their one-half game lead over Little Chute in the conference standings.
Fox Valley Lutheran (12-8, 7-6 NEC) was held to three hits and scored both of its runs in the sixth inning on a sacrifice fly by Jack Schlueter and Jacob Bickel was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.
Fox Valley Lutheran will play a North Eastern Conference doubleheader at Marinette on Saturday.
