Appleton North boys golf finishes eighth at Seymour Thunder Invite

SEYMOUR – Appleton North’s Jonathan Huenink shot a 76 to finish in a four-way tie for sixth place at the Seymour Thunder Boys Golf Invitational on Friday at Crystal Springs Golf Course.
Huenink had back-to-back birdies on the 12th and 13 holes, but finished with bogeys on the final two holes to end up with a 76, five shots in back of Pulaski’s Dison Holewinski, who was the individual champion.
Vince Sigl of Seymour and Finley Lavine of Southern Door tied for second with 72s.
Seymour won the team title with a 313, two strokes better than Pulaski. Appleton North was eighth with a 351.
Griffin Schroeder added an 85, Gordy Cole shot 94 and William Tweedy had a 96 to round out North’s scoring golfers.
Appleton North will host Oshkosh North at Reid Golf Course on Monday in a Fox Valley Association dual.
