Fox Valley Lutheran baseball uses big second inning to power past Waupaca

APPLETON – The Fox Valley Lutheran baseball team won its third game in a row, using an eight-run second inning to power past Waupaca 10-1 in a North Eastern Conference game Tuesday at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.

Dawsen Burington had two hits and drove in three runs, and Lincoln Thede and Jack Schlueter each had a pair of RBI for the Foxes, who are now 8-4 overall and 5-2 in the NEC.

Jack Schlueter also picked up the pitching win, scattering seven hits over six innings with seven strikeouts.

The two teams will play again Thursday at Waupaca.
