Fox Valley Lutheran girls soccer blanks Clintonville

APPLETON – Sydney Szerkins scored two first-half goals to give Fox Valley Lutheran an early lead and the Foxes went on to roll to an 8-0 win over Clintonville in a North Eastern Conference girls soccer match Tuesday at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.

Kyleigh Huza also scored twice, and Reese Gut, Caycee Riesenweber, Alaina Schmidt and Katya Fett added goals for the Foxes, who are now 3-6 overall and 2-0 in the NEC.

Haley Minzlaff, Huza and Fett had assists in the win for the Foxes.

Clintonville drops to 0-4 and 0-3 in conference play.

Fox Valley Lutheran returns to action Friday at Luxemburg-Casco. Game time is 6:30 p.m.
