APPLETON – The Fox Valley Lutheran softball team earned its first conference title since 2007 and set a school record for wins as it held off Denmark 3-1 in a North Eastern Conference matchup Thursday at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.
Madison Babcock struck out seven without a walk to earn the win in a complete-game effort for the Foxes, who are now 21-0 overall and 17-0 in the NEC.
Lexi Hanson had an RBI single in the second inning, and Nora Probst and Brianna Dahlke each knocked in a run with back-to-back singles in the third to provide FVL all it needed. Both Probst and Hanson had two hits in the win.
