Xavier baseball defeats New London for sixth win in a row

NEW LONDON – Kyler Bleck allowed two runs over six strong innings and also had a pair of hits as the Xavier baseball team defeated New London 7-2 on Friday at Hatten Park.
The win is the Hawks’ sixth in a row as they are now 6-5 overall and 3-4 in the Bay Conference. New London drops to 3-6 and 3-4 in conference play, with a make-up date for the other game not announced.
The originally scheduled home doubleheader for Xavier was moved to New London with just a single game played.
Bleck struck out six and walked two while giving up two runs in the fifth inning to earn the win for Xavier.
Reed Flick had three and three RBI, and Gavin Wiese and Matthew Potter each finished with two hits to pace the Xavier offense.
Xavier will travel to Shawano for a Bay Conference game on Monday.
