Union Grove blanks Appleton East boys soccer

APPLETON – Union Grove scored a goal late in the first half and was able to hold off Appleton East the rest of the way, winning 3-0 in a nonconference boys soccer game Saturday at Pickett Field.
Appleton East drops to 6-6-2 overall this season, while Union Grove improves to 9-2.
Henry Benz and Jack Benz split time in net for East, with Henry making three saves in the first half and Jack four in the second.
Appleton East (3-3-1 FVA) will play a Fox Valley Association game at Kimberly (5-1-1 FVA) on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
