Xavier softball rolls past Shawano

SHAWANO – The Xavier softball team knocked off Bay Conference-leader Shawano with a dominant 10-0 victory Monday at Shawano High School.

Xavier (6-4, 4-3 Bay Conference) scored twice in the opening inning and never looked back as Addison Hervey went the distance in the pitching circle, striking out 12 with just one hit allowed. She also had a single, a triple and an RBI in the victory.

Kaila Stammer and Elianna Riehl each had two RBI, and Else Dvoracek and Joy Krull both scored three times in the win for Xavier.

Shawano falls to 7-5 overall and 4-2 in the Bay.

Xavier will play the new first-place team in the conference, West De Pere (6-4, 3-1 Bay), at home Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
