Appleton United boys lacrosse holds off Neenah

APPLETON – The Appleton United boys lacrosse team rebounded from its first Bay Valley Conference loss with an 8-7 victory over Neenah on Monday at Appleton East High School.
Appleton took a 5-2 lead into halftime as Tristan Dean intercepted a pass and took it around the crease for a score with 0.3 seconds left on the clock.
Appleton was able to hold on late as goalie Colin Mancl stopped a number of Neenah shots on the way to the one-goal victory.
Dean and Trevin Schultz each scored twice, and Sam Stillwell, Roen Willis, Jaylen Kempfer and Jayden Golding added goals in the win for Appleton (9-4, 5-1 Bay Valley).
Appleton is back in action Thursday at Wausau.
