Fox Valley Lutheran softball pulls out one-run win over Wrightstown to stay perfect

APPLETON – Lexi Hanson doubled home Andi Bierman for the go-ahead run in the bottom of the sixth inning to give the Fox Valley Lutheran softball team a 3-2 win over Wrightstown in North Eastern Conference action Tuesday at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.
Madison Babcock threw a complete-game three-hitter for the Foxes, striking out 11 without a walk, as they remain unbeaten at 20-0 overall and 16-0 in the NEC.
Avery Steffes scored on an error in the third inning and Paige Leavitt had a sacrifice fly in the fourth to tie the game at 2-2 before FVL was able to win it in the sixth.
Fox Valley Lutheran can wrap up the outright North Eastern Conference title with a win over Denmark at home on Thursday.
