Fox Valley Lutheran baseball doubles up Notre Dame

APPLETON – The Fox Valley Lutheran baseball team picked up a nonconference win on Wednesday, defeating Green Bay Notre Dame 4-2 at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.

The Foxes scored all four of their runs in the third inning, and Wyatt Schlueter and Spencer Bromm did the rest on the mound.

Schlueter allowed two runs over six strong innings and Bromm earned the save with scoreless seventh as FVL improves to 12-7.

Zach Daily had an RBI single, Dawsen Burington drove in two with a hit and a balk forced in another run in the big third inning for the Foxes. Burington had two of FVL’s five hits.

Fox Valley Lutheran plays a North Eastern Conference game at first-place Wrightstown on Thursday.
