Hortonville snags walk-off win over Appleton East baseball

HORTONVILLE – Isaac Behnke cleared the bases with a three-run triple in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Hortonville a 4-3 walk-off win over Appleton East in a Fox Valley Association baseball game Friday at Commercial Club Park.
Appleton East (12-7, 7-6 FVA) led 3-0 after a bases-loaded double by Cade Prestigiacomo in the third inning.
Hortonville scored once in the bottom of the third and the score held until the seventh.
Prestigiacomo was cruising along on the mound with eight strikeouts before leaving due to pitch count with two outs in the seventh. Alex Thompson came and walked two batters before Behnke knocked the game-winning triple to center to give the Polar Bears (16-4, 11-3 FVA) the win.
Appleton East hosts Kaukauna on Monday.
