Little Chute picks up walk-off win over Appleton Doubledays Legion baseball

LITTLE CHUTE – The Appleton Doubledays Legion baseball team had its six-game winning streak snapped, suffering a 4-3 loss to Little Chute on Monday night.
A one-out error in the bottom of the seventh inning allowed Little Chute (7-3) to score the winning run and gain a walk-off victory.
The Doubledays (11-3) fought back from a 3-0 deficit to tie the game, scoring single tallies in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings.
Mason Winkler had an RBI single, Rylan Winkler knocked in a run with a sacrifice fly, and Cade Prestigiacomo added another sac fly to tie the game at 3-3 before Little Chute won it in its final at-bat.
Dawsen Burington had three of Appleton’s seven hits.
The two teams will play again Wednesday at Koslo Park in Menasha.
