Appleton North girls golf defeats Appleton West via tiebreaker

NEENAH – Appleton North eked out a Fox Valley Association girls golf dual meet victory over Appleton West, winning by tiebreaker on Tuesday at Winagamie Golf Course.

The total of the top four golfers for North and West tied at 205, with Appleton North earning the win by tiebreaker based on the fifth golfers’ scores.

Kendall Linedemann was meet medalist with a 43 to lead the Lightning, who even their FVA dual record at 2-2.

Chloe Didreckson shot a 50 to finish for second overall for Appleton West (1-2 FVA).

North’s Finley Chipman and West’s Mariah Frase tied for third with 51s.

Appleton West will compete at Countryside Golf Course in Kaukauna against the Ghosts on Thursday.

Appleton North’s next match is Sept. 3 against Oshkosh West at Oshkosh Country Club.
