Appleton East boys soccer blanks Kaukauna in FVA opener

APPLETON – Appleton East broke through for a pair of goals in the second half and defeated Kaukauna 2-0 in the Fox Valley Association boys soccer opener for both teams on Tuesday night at Pickett Field at Appleton East High School.

After a scoreless first half, Lungwe Ramadhani scored for East and Yohana Bikyeombe tacked on another on a penalty kick to give the Patriots the victory.

Jack Benz had a shutout in goal for Appleton East (2-1, 1-0 FVA).

Appleton East travels to Kimberly for another FVA game on Thursday beginning at 7 p.m.
