Appleton East boys soccer draws with unbeaten Neenah

APPLETON – The Appleton East boys soccer team played unbeaten Neenah to a hard-fought 2-2 tie in a Fox Valley Association match Tuesday night at Pickett Field.

Levi Boegh scored both of East’s goals, coming on assists from Will Zachor and Lungwe Ramadhani, as the teams played to a 2-2 tie through the first half as Neenah’s Trey White and Kolton Fleege also netted goals.

Neither team scored in the second as Appleton East was able to hold off a Neenah offense that had 13 shots on goal. Patriots goalkeeper Jack Benz made 11 saves.

Appleton East is now 2-2-3 overall and 1-1-3 in the FVA, while Neenah falls out of a first-place tie with Hortonville, moving to 5-0-2 overall and 3-0-2 in the FVA.

Appleton East will host Stevens Point for a nonconference game on Thursday. Game time is 6:30 p.m.
