Fox Valley Lutheran finishes third, Xavier eighth at Bay Conference Girls Golf Championship

GREENLEAF – Seymour had the top two individual finishers and easily won the Bay Conference Girls Golf Championship on Tuesday at Wander Springs Golf Course.

Morgan Lewis won the individual conference tournament title with a 78, five strokes ahead of teammate Lyla Schueler to lead Seymour to the team victory with a combined score of 374. Winneconne was a distant second with a 420, with Fox Valley Lutheran taking third with a 423 and Xavier finishing eighth with a 455.

Lily Kari shot a 103, Cecilia Hermann had a 104 and Elliot Kriewald had a 107 to lead Fox Valley Lutheran.

Gabby Wascot had a 106, Hailey Hafner finished with a 111 and Kayla Standish shot 112 for Xavier.

Fox Valley Lutheran will compete at a WIAA Division 1 regional at Winagamie Golf Course in Neenah, and Xavier is at a Division 2 regional at Mid Vallee Golf Course in De Pere both on Oct. 1.
