Seymour holds down Fox Valley Lutheran football

SEYMOUR – Seymour racked up nearly 200 yards rushing and kept its undefeated Bay Conference record intact with a 33-13 win over Fox Valley Lutheran in high school football action Friday night at Seymour High School.
Fox Valley Lutheran, playing without starting quarterback Gabe Heiges, did manage 168 yards through the air from three different signal callers, but only found the end zone twice and lost its second game in a row.
Seymour jumped to a 12-0 lead before Braden Heiges ran 64 yards for a score as the Foxes cut into the deficit.
Seymour (5-1, 4-0 Bay Conference) tacked on another touchdown before halftime and upped its lead to 33-7 before FVL scored late on a 25-yard TD pass from Michael Gutekunst to Cael Loberger.
Fox Valley Lutheran (4-2, 2-2 Bay Conference) hosts New London next Friday, Oct. 3.
