Fox Valley Lutheran boys soccer rips Seymour to remain tied for first in Bay Conference

APPLETON – Fox Valley Lutheran maintained its share of the Bay Conference boys soccer lead with a resounding 8-0 win over Seymour on Thursday at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.

The Foxes improve to 9-3-1 overall and 6-1 in the Bay Conference, which keeps them in a tie for first place in the conference standings with Shawano. The Foxes play their final conference game Oct. 9 at New London. Shawano’s last Bay game is also against New London on Oct. 7 at home.

The Foxes scored three times in a five-minute span midway through the first half to take control and held Seymour (2-12-1, 1-5-1 Bay Conference) without a shot on goal.

Kaleb Williams scored at the 14:52 mark, Josh Su added a goal at 16:32, and Williams scored again at 19:33 to put FVL in control.

Joonyoung Hong and Ezra Schaser added goals before halftime to up the Foxes’ lead to 5-0.

Schaser, Braydon Kaster and Hong added goals in the second half.

Cameron Williams had three assists, and Schaser, Ian Luehring, Kaleb Williams and Tyler Martin had one each in the win for FVL.

Fox Valley Lutheran will play nonconference home games against New Holstein on Friday and Stevens Point Pacelli on Saturday.
