Appleton North boys take fourth, girls seventh at Seymour Cross Country Invite

SEYMOUR – The Appleton North boys cross country team placed fourth and the girls took seventh at the Seymour Invitational on Thursday at Rock Ledge Park.

Oshkosh West swept the team titles at the 15-team event.

Logan Boehnlein of Seymour won the boys race in 16:23.2, four seconds ahead of Carter Crowe of Oshkosh West. Appleton North’s Charles Williams placed 21st in 18:07.6 and Nolan Moscinski took 22nd in 18:13.1.

In the girls race, Maggie Gerth of Pulaski was the winner in 18:49.9, 45 seconds in front of Abby Tercha of Oshkosh West. Evelyn Mendolla placed 30th in 21:58.8 for Appleton North’s top finish.

Appleton North will compete at the Fox Valley Association Meet at Countryside Golf Course in Kaukauna on Oct. 16.
