Xavier girls volleyball survives over Kewaskum in WIAA Division 2 regional final

APPLETON – The top-seeded Xavier girls volleyball team lost the first set but rallied to win the next three and defeated Kewaskum 3-1 in a WIAA Division 2 regional final Saturday night at the Torchy Clark Gymnasium at Xavier High School.
The Hawks won 23-25, 25-21, 25-19, 25-18, to advance to a D-2 sectional semifinal against No. 2 seed Winneconne on Thursday at Xavier High School. Winneconne defeated Xavier in a Bay Conference match earlier this season.
Sydney Neiliz had 42 assists, Grace Hackl had 17 digs and Rose Kendall finished with 15 kills to lead Xavier in each category.
Braelee Kiepert added 12 kills, Bella Daley chipped in 10 kills, Bella Velasquez had seven digs and three service aces, and Taelyn Kiepert also had three aces in the win for the Hawks.
