Luxemburg-Casco upends Fox Valley Lutheran in WIAA Division 2 girls volleyball sectional semifinal

APPLETON – The Fox Valley Lutheran girls volleyball team had its season come to an end after suffering a 3-1 loss to Luxemburg-Casco in a WIAA Division 2 sectional semifinal Thursday night at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.

Luxemburg-Casco, the No. 2 seed in the top portion of the sectional, won 28-26, 25-14, 22-25, 25-21, to advance to a sectional final against Xavier at Seymour on Saturday night. Xavier defeated Winneconne 3-1 on Thursday.

Alaina Patchett had 10 kills, Ellie Hayes added nine kills, Brianna Stewart chipped in eight kills, and Kenzie Loberger had 16 assists, 11 dig and four kills in the loss for Fox Valley Lutheran.

Fox Valley Lutheran, which won the Bay Conference championship and a regional title, finishes the season with a 29-9 record.
