Luxemburg-Casco sweeps Xavier in WIAA Division 2 girls volleyball sectional final

SEYMOUR – The Xavier girls volleyball team, attempting to make it to the state tournament for the third time in four years, but came up short, losing 3-0 to Luxemburg-Casco in a WIAA Division 2 sectional final Saturday at Seymour High School.

Luxemburg-Casco, last year’s Division 2 state runner-up, will play a D-2 semifinal Friday at the 2025 WIAA State Girls Volleyball Tournament at the Resch Center in Green Bay. L-C will take on Sauk Prairie in a Division 2 semifinal Friday at 10:30 a.m. The Division 2 championship will be played Saturday at 5 p.m.

Rose Kendall had 10 kills and five blocks, Braelee Kiepert and Lexi Allen each had eight kills, and Bella Daley added seven kills for Xavier, which finishes the season with a 30-11 overall record.

Sydney Neilitz finished with 34 assists and 12 digs, and Allie Gioffredi had three blocks in the loss for the Hawks.
