Kettle Moraine Lutheran rallies to top Xavier boys basketball

APPLETON – Kettle Moraine Lutheran overcame a 10-point halftime deficit to defeat Xavier 78-72 in a nonconference game to open the boys basketball season for both teams Wednesday night at Xavier High School.
Xavier led 39-29 at half but couldn’t maintain the momentum as the Chargers poured in 49 points over the final 18 minutes to pull away.
Logan Ramczyk had 25 points and Kyler Bleck added 21 for the Hawks, who shot just 42 percent from the field (25 of 59) and missed eight free throws (14 of 22).
Xavier will play another nonconference game Tuesday at Mosinee before opening Bay Conference play at Green Bay West on Thursday, Dec. 4.
