Appleton North boys basketball hits century mark in season-opening win over Winneconne

OSHKOSH – The Appleton North boys basketball team came out firing in its 2025-26 season opener, hitting the century mark with a 101-82 victory over Winneconne in a nonconference game Friday afternoon at Oshkosh Arena.
Will Sweeney poured in 32 points, Matt Rosplochowski added 26, Grant Hardy chipped in 19 and Ethan Arft had 14 for the Lightning.
Appleton North raced out to a 59-35 lead by halftime with a dominating first-half performance.
The Lightning will take on Bay Port at 3 p.m. Saturday as the Steven L. Randall Memorial Classic concludes at Oshkosh Arena.
