Fox Cities Stars girls hockey drops two conference games to USM, Lakeshore

NEENAH – The Fox Cities Stars girls hockey team lost a pair of Eastern Shores Conference games over the weekend at Tri-County Ice Arena, falling to University School of Milwaukee and the Lakeshore Lightning by identical 3-2 scores on Friday and Saturday.

Esme Loomans had two goals, including the game-winner with 12:01 to go in the third period, to lead USM to the win on Friday.

Kendall Lindemann and Scarlet Pellegrini had goals for Fox Cities.

On Saturday, Evie Mursau scored twice in a span of 1:21 early in the third period for the Stars to tie the game at 2-2, which held until overtime.

Just over two minutes into the extra period, Lakeshore’s Olivia Dykema netted the game-winner.

Fox Cities falls to 2-2 overall and 0-2 in the Eastern Shores heading into a home conference game Tuesday against Hartland Arrowhead.
