Fox Cities Stars boys hockey stays unbeaten with win over rival Appleton United

APPLETON – The Fox Cities Stars scored three times in the third period to finish off a 6-2 win over Appleton United in a Badgerland Conference boys hockey game Saturday night at the Appleton Family Ice Center.
Fox Cities led 3-2 after a hard-fought first two periods, with Cale Adamovich, Quinn Murphy and Asher Buck netting goals for the Stars, and Henry Heathman and Ethan Chosa scoring for Appleton.
The Stars dominated the third period, scoring three unanswered goals to ice the victory. Xander Herron, Andrew Ostermann and Daichi Massey put the finishing touches on the win for Fox Cities, which remains undefeated at 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the Badgerland. Appleton falls to 2-2 as it was playing its conference opener.
Both teams host Badgerland Conference games on Tuesday with Fox Cities going against Fond du Lac and Appleton taking on St. Mary’s Springs.
