Fox Valley Lutheran girls basketball downs Shawano for first Bay Conference win

SHAWANO – The Fox Valley Lutheran girls basketball team sent Shawano to its first loss of the season, downing the Hawks 54-45 in a Bay Conference game Saturday night at Shawano High School.

Freshman Kinley Peterson scored 14 points and Brianna Dahlke added 11 on the strength of 9-for-10 free throw shooting, to lead the Foxes, who are now 2-1 overall and 1-1 in the Bay.

Shawano falls to 4-1 and 1-1 in conference play.

Fox Valley hosts Green Bay East on Tuesday and travels to New London on Thursday for Bay Conference matchups this week.
