McFarland holds off to defeat Fox Valley Lutheran boys basketball, ends Foxes’ five-game win streak

McFARLAND – Fox Valley Lutheran’s comeback attempt fell short as McFarland was able to hold on late and defeat the Foxes 75-62 in a nonconference boys basketball game Tuesday at McFarland High School.
The Foxes trailed 39-28 at halftime before crawling back to within four in the second half before McFarland regrouped and pulled away again, ending FVL’s five-game winning streak.
Caleb Dahlke made four 3-pointers and scored a game-high 26 points, and Gabe Heiges added 13 points for Fox Valley Lutheran.
Garrett Crall scored 20 points and Eli Krueger added 19 for McFarland (4-1).
Fox Valley Lutheran is back in action Tuesday, Dec. 30, when it takes on Little Chute at the Kress Center on the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay campus. Game time is 3:15 p.m.
