Fox Cities Stars boys hockey dominates West Salem in Culver’s Cup opener

MADISON – Jake Koller and Xander Herron each scored twice to lead the Fox Cities Stars boys hockey team to an 11-1 rout of West Salem in a first-round game at the Culver’s Cup on Saturday at Hartmeyer Ice Arena.
Seven other Stars scored a goal apiece in the victory as they improve to 9-1 this season.
Sam Dardis saved eight of nine shots in goal for Fox Cities as it outshot West Salem (0-6) 46-9.
The Stars play Milton at 1 p.m. Sunday and Northland Pines at noon on Monday to wrap up the three-day tournament.
