Appleton East girls basketball ups win streak to nine with road victory at Fond du Lac

FOND DU LAC – The Appleton East girls basketball team picked up its ninth-straight win with a hard-fought 51-39 win over Fond du Lac in a Fox Valley Association matchup on Tuesday at Fond du Lac High School.

The Patriots pulled ahead 19-13 after a defensive battle in the first half and was able to pull away to improve to 9-1 overall and 7-0 in the FVA.

Ella Jazdzewski scored 15 points and Ella Sweeney added 14 for Appleton East.

Allie Buelow led Fond du Lac (3-9, 2-5 FVA) with 11 points.

Appleton East plays at Appleton North on Friday at 6 p.m.
