Xavier girls basketball pulls out overtime win at Shawano

SHAWANO – Xavier outscored Shawano by six points in overtime to pull out a 57-51 win in a Bay Conference girls basketball game Friday night at Shawano High School.

Xavier held a 9-3 advantage in the extra period to earn the hard-fought win and improves to 9-3 overall and 5-1 in the Bay Conference.

Hailey Hafter scored 21 points and Brynn Krull added 20 in the win for Xavier, which finished 24-for-34 from the free throw line.

Leah Nordin led Shawano (6-5, 3-4 Bay Conference) with 27 points.

Xavier will get its second crack at Bay Conference leader Winneconne on Tuesday at home in a rematch of a 61-60 game won by the Wolves on Dec. 2.
