Appleton East girls basketball stays perfect in FVA with 30-point win at Appleton West

APPLETON – The Appleton East girls basketball team had 13 different players hit the scoring column as it won its 12th-straight game, defeating Appleton West 63-33 in a Fox Valley Association game Tuesday night at West High School.
The Patriots rolled out to a 34-10 halftime lead and cruised from there, improving to 12-1 overall and 9-0 in the FVA as they hit the halfway point of the conference season.
Jenna Ott hit two of East’s seven 3-pointers and was the only player to score in double figures for the Patriots, finishing with 10.
Madelyn Nushart led Appleton West (1-13, 0-9 FVA) with 15 points.
Both teams are back in action Friday as East hosts Oshkosh West and the Terrors travel to Fond du Lac.
