Appleton North girls basketball pummels Fond du Lac

APPLETON – The Appleton North girls basketball team hounded Fond du Lac early, rolling out to a 32-point lead by halftime, and posted a 73-37 victory in a Fox Valley Association girls basketball game Tuesday night at North High School.
Brooke Schuh and Avery Werfal each scored 12 points in the first half as the Lightning bolted out to a 46-14 lead by halftime and were in control throughout. Both finished with 15 points to lead North (9-4, 5-4 Fox Valley Association).
Tay Maass added 14 points for the Lightning, which had nine different players score in the win.
Lilah Johnson led Fond du Lac (3-11, 2-7 FVA) with nine points.
Appleton North plays at Neenah on Friday.
