Winneconne tips Xavier in high-scoring Bay Conference boys basketball contest

WINNECONNE – The Xavier boys basketball team made nine 3-pointers but fell just short, losing to Winneconne 81-79 in a high-scoring Bay Conference game Tuesday night at Winneconne High School.
The Wolves (9-4, 5-2 Bay Conference) outscored Xavier by three points in the second half to pull out the tight win and pass the Hawks for third place in the conference standings.
Logan Ramczyk had 22 points and 13 rebounds, and Grant Neumann also scored 22 points for Xavier (8-4, 4-2 Bay Conference).
Xavier hosts Fox Valley Lutheran for the first of two conference games with its crosstown rival on Friday at 7 p.m. The rematch will be Feb. 20 at FVL.
