Cedarburg shuts out Appleton United boys hockey

MEQUON – Cedarburg picked up its first win of the season with a 4-0 shutout of Appleton United in a nonconference boys hockey game Thursday at the Ozaukee Ice Rink.
Appleton managed 28 shots on goal, but all were turned away by Cedarburg goalie Ethan Bert.
Nathan Huck scored twice in a 20-second span late in the second period to open the scoring for the Bulldogs (1-13), and Appleton could not recover.
Brady Boldt made 36 saves in goal for Appleton (4-12).
Appleton United’s next game is Tuesday at Fond du Lac.
