Appleton North boys basketball wins defensive brawl with Neenah

APPLETON – The Appleton North boys basketball team held Neenah to nine first-half points and cruised to a 44-26 win in a Fox Valley Association game Friday night at North High School.
Matthew Rosplochowski had 15 points and Will Sweeney went 9-for-10 at the three throw line to add 13 points for the Lightning, who are now 12-2 overall and 8-1 in the FVA after winning their seventh game in a row.
The Lightning led 18-9 after a slow first half, and outscored Neenah (7-6, 6-3 FVA) by nine again in the second half to pull away.
Nick Schultz led the Rockets with 10 points.
Appleton North plays at Appleton West on Thursday.
