Appleton West Co-op finishes fifth, Appleton North/East seventh at Middleton Boys Swimming Invite

MIDDLETON – Appleton West/Hortonville/Kaukauna/Kimberly placed fifth and Appleton North/East took seventh at the 11-team Middleton Boys Swimming Invitational on Saturday at Middleton High School.

Middleton won six events and used its depth to roll to the team title, finishing with 626 points. Verona was a distant second with 276.5, while the Appleton West Co-op was fifth with 148 and North/East seventh with 136.

Hayden Hollenbeck placed second in the 100-yard butterfly in 54.48 seconds and Ethan Pasholk took third in the 200 individual medley in 2:00.20 for Appleton West Co-op’s top individual finishes.

The Terrors relay team of Pasholk, Hollenbeck, Emerson Middendorp and Ethan Bruce also placed third in the 200 medley relay (1:43.05) and the 200 freestyle relay (1:32.34).

Cash Braun took sixth in the 50 freestyle (23.23) and 10^th in the 100 butterfly (58.76), and Arthur Skorr placed seventh in the 100 backstroke (58.22) for Appleton North/East.

Both the Appleton West Co-op and Appleton North/East will compete at the Fox Valley Association Meet next week at Fond du Lac. The diving meet is Friday and the swim meet on Saturday.
