State-ranked Lomira outlasts Xavier boys basketball in double overtime

LOMIRA – Lomira outscored Xavier by six in the second overtime period to pull out a wild 100-94 win in a nonconference boys basketball game Tuesday night at Lomira High School.

Lomira, ranked No. 4 in this weeks Bound/Zaleski Sports Division 4 state poll, led 35-31 at halftime before Xavier was able to force overtime with a 43-point second half.

After each team scored 12 points in the first overtime, the Lions were able to hold Xavier to eight points in the second OT to earn their seventh-straight win as they improve to 16-1.

Logan Ramczyk was on fire for Xavier, pouring in 41 points. He was 11-for-23 overall from the field, including 7 of 16 from 3-point range, and also made 12 of 16 free throws to keep Xavier in it until the end.

Kyler Bleck added 18 points, and Caden Schuler had 12 points and nine rebounds for the Hawks, who drop to 11-6.

Jake Broeske head 27 points and 13 rebounds, Jackson Bloohm added 23 points, and Cooper King was a perfect 6-for-6 from 3-point range and scored 22 points for Lomira.

Xavier hosts Green Bay East for a Bay Conference game on Friday at 7 p.m.
