Fox Valley Lutheran boys basketball sets scoring, 3-point records in home win over Winneconne

APPLETON – The Fox Valley Lutheran boys basketball team had a record-setting night in its Bay Conference game Thursday at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.

The Foxes set school records for 3-pointers made with 19 and total points in a 109-81 rout of Winneconne.

The Foxes led 51-46 after a wild first half before blowing open the game in the second half as their hot shooting continued.

Gabe Heiges, Eligh Erickson, Caleb Dahlke and Wyatt Schlueter each made four 3-pointers and were four of the five FVL players to score in double figures.

Gabe Heiges led the way with 29 points, Braden Heiges added 21, Dahlke scored 15, Schlueter 14 and Erickson 12 in the win for Fox Valley Lutheran (13-7, 10-3 Bay Conference).

Drew Lenz led Winneconne (14-7, 8-5 Bay) with 24 points.

FVL is back in action Tuesday at home against Green Bay West.
