Xavier girls basketball blows past Menasha

APPLETON – Bay Conference girls basketball champion Xavier clamped down defensively to defeat Menasha 60-28 on Monday night at Xavier High School.
The Hawks led 24-10 at halftime and outscored Menasha by 18 in the second half to win for the fifth time in the last six games, and improve to 18-5 overall and 12-1 in the Bay Conference.
Xavier made eight 3-pointers, including four from Brynn Krull, who scored a game-high 21 points. Hailey Hafner added 13 points for the Hawks.
Aria Bilke had 12 points for Menasha (8-14, 4-9 Bay Conference).
Xavier finishes its regular season Thursday at home against Shawano.
