Xavier boys basketball holds off New London

APPLETON – Four Xavier players scored in double figures as the Hawks edged New London 59-56 in a Bay Conference boys basketball game Monday night at Xavier High School.

The Hawks built a 13-point halftime lead, but had to hang on in the end as New London rallied before coming up three points short.

Grant Neumann had 13 points, Logan Ramczyk and Kyle Bleck each had 11, and Quinn Comerford knocked in 10 for Xavier, which is now 16-7 overall and 11-4 in the Bay Conference to move into a tie for second place.

Xavier will finish its regular season with a Bay Conference game at home Thursday against Menasha.
