Xavier boys basketball blows out Kiel in WIAA Division 3 regional semifinal

APPLETON – Xavier outscored Kiel by double digits in each half and cruised to a 73-46 win in a WIAA Division 3 boys basketball regional semifinal on Friday at Xavier High School.
The No. 3 seed Xavier (18-7) advances to a D-3 regional final at No. 2 seed Berlin (21-4) on Saturday at 7 p.m. with a berth in next week’s sectionals on the line.
Logan Ramczyk and Grant Neumann each hit three 3-pointers to finish with 18 and 16 points, respectively, to lead the Hawks. Xavier made 10 3-pointers in all on 26 attempts, and shot 49 percent overall (24 of 49) from the field.
Kyler Bleck added 12 points for the Hawks.
Kiel, the No. 6 seed, finishes its season with a 16-10 record.
