Appleton East’s Sweeney, Appleton North’s Maass among first-team picks to 2025-26 All-FVA Girls Basketball Team

Appleton East junior Ella Sweeney and Appleton North senior Tay Maass were among the eight first-team selections on the 2025-26 Fox Valley Association Girls Basketball all-conference team, as voted on by the 10 conference coaches.

Sweeney averaged at team-high 14.3 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game with 69 made 3-pointers to help Appleton East to a second-place finish behind Kimberly in the FVA standings.

Maass topped Appleton North in rebounding at 8.9 per game while also contributing 11.2 points per contest and shooting 53 percent from the field.

Neenah senior Rowan Klesmit was named Player of the Year and a first-team pick. Hortonville’s Kardyn Peppler, Kimberly’s Halie Dulas and Ava Van Vonderen, Neenah’s Ellie Buss and Oshkosh North’s Awut Alic round out the first-team selections.

Klesmit scored 21.5 points per game with 73 made 3-pointers and shot 87 percent from the free throw line for Neenah.

Appleton East’s Ambria Fischer and Emilia MontMarquette and Appleton North’s Avery Werfal were second-team selections, while East’s Ella Jazdzewski and Jenna Ott, North’s Brooke Schuh, and Appleton West’s Allysen Buss were honorable mention choices.

Brian Paschen of Appleton East and Dave Pepisto of Kimberly were picked as Co-Coaches of the Year.
