Appleton United boys lacrosse rolls past Kenosha in season opener

SALEM LAKES – The Appleton United boys lacrosse team opened its 2026 season with a resounding 18-4 win over the Kenosha Shoremen on Friday night at Westosha Central High School.
Appleton scored the first five goals of the game and took a 12-2 lead into halftime after a goal by Brody Olp as time expired in the second quarter.
Appleton, ranked 10th in the state preseason poll, was able to finish off the win as Jaylen Kempfer and Sam Stillwell each scored five goals, and Trevin Schultz and Roen Willis both added three scores.
Ben Wilke and Olp added goals in the win, which is the first in new coach Matt Puskarich’s career.
Appleton United is back in action at home against West Bend on April 8 at Appleton East High School.
