Fox Valley Lutheran softball blanks Menasha in Bay Conference opener

APPLETON – Madison Babcock struck out 19 batters, allowed just one hit and threw her second shutout in as many days to lead the Fox Valley Lutheran softball team to a 4-0 win over Menasha in the Bay Conference opener for both teams on Tuesday at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.

Babcock also had a double, a home run, scored twice and drove in two, and Olivia Fischer had two hits, including a two-run single in the fifth inning, for the Foxes (2-0).

Menasha was playing its season opener.

Fox Valley Lutheran will play at Green Bay West/East on April 7.
