Xavier baseball opens season with no-hitter vs. Green Bay East/West

APPLETON – Three Xavier pitchers combined on a six-inning no-hitter as the Hawks shut out Green Bay East/West 10-0 in the season and Bay Conference opener for both teams on Tuesday at Don Hawkins Field.
Kyler Bleck, Gavin Wiese and Quinn Comerford each threw two no-hit innings for the Hawks, who scored in four of their six at-bats and finished off the game due to the 10-run rule with a run on passed ball in the bottom of the sixth.
Titan Milhaupt, Gavin Wiese and Carter Hermus each had two hits, and Bleck drove in two runs for Xavier.
Xavier will have some time off before hosting Gibraltar for a nonconference game on April 13.
