Ashwaubenon slugs past Appleton West baseball

APPLETON – Ashwaubenon popped three home runs and defeated Appleton West 13-3 in a nonconference baseball game at the USA Youth Sports Complex on Monday.
Charlie Airchele, Ian Justman and Nolan Vertz cracked homers for the Jaguars (3-5), who finished with 13 hits in all and won due to the 10-run rule after six innings.
Quinn Meyers went 3-for-3 with three doubles and scored twice to lead the Terrors’ offense. West falls to 1-7 this spring.
Appleton West will host Neenah at the USA Youth Sports Complex on Tuesday. Game time is 5 p.m.
