Plymouth scores late to top Appleton West baseball

PLYMOUTH – Plymouth scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to defeat Appleton West 5-3 in a nonconference baseball game Friday at Plymouth High School.
Plymouth led 2-0 before Appleton West plated three runs in the fifth.
Cooper Weigman walked and scored on a wild pitch, Charlie Blevins scored on an error and Issac Ise drove in Quinn Meyers with a double to put the Terrors (1-10) on top 3-2.
Plymouth (4-5) tied the game in the bottom of the inning and pulled ahead for good in the sixth, scoring two runs on an Appleton West error.
Henry Ott threw a complete game for the Terrors, striking out four with three walks.
Appleton West’s next game is Tuesday at home against Oshkosh North.
