Appleton East earns team title, Appleton North finishes ninth at Wautoma/Wild Rose Boys Golf Invite

WAUTOMA – Appleton East had three finishers in the top 12 and earned the team title at the Wautoma/Wild Rose Boys Golf Invitational on Friday at Waushara Country Club.

Appleton East finished with an 18-hole team score of 308, six shots better than Oshkosh North and Kaukauna. Appleton North placed ninth among the 14 teams with a score of 364.

University Lake School’s Cole Brown was meet medalist with a 68, with Appleton East’s Max Vanden Langenberg taking fourth with a 75, Tyler Bell tying for fifth with a 76 and Brody Muller tying for 11th with a 78 leading the way.

Calvin Doszak added an 82 and Trenten Carpenter shot an 84 to round out Appleton East’s golfers.

William Tweedy had an 88, Peyton Gill and Caulder Var Kuilen shot 91s, Maxim Henek had a 94, Cody Rempala had a 97 and Jack Lemke shot 100 for Appleton North.

Appleton East and Appleton North will join Appleton West, Fox Valley Lutheran and Xavier for the Appleton City Meet on Monday at North Shore Golf Club.
